Excuse my monologue - but I think the parting of the ways may partly be due to communication issues, as indeed the market has not been kept well enough informed. Also CDD has lost their acquisition currency (high SP) at a very good time for M and A - so Chairman probably not happy about that. Still - MD was only new in the job, and somebody more experienced may have handled it better - especially if H2 will be significantly better. Market rightfully has little confidence in Cardno ATM.
However the amount of cash they generate is huge, and average ROE and ROA is a fat number, the amount of capex is relatively small - compared to (say) ALQ. And their market is expanding in many of their segments.
