With the share close to 52 week lows the impetus for a further build in aggreg. short positions is "likely" diminishing unless some left field negative ann is released, or info unknown to thr mkt exists. Conversely, with the potential for positive anns at any time prior to the results(& results that could also surprise on the upside), a gradual unwinding of short-positions may be underway(?) lest the risk of being trapped in a quite agressive short squeeze.
Given that how much downside to current sp in this environment? Rhetorical Q only..
