Always wondered about that Peejay. Music industry commercialization stuff for sure. No shortage of long term love here for Aussie artists as the charts will show. Working man blues isn't exactly foreign to the yanks but there was plenty of competition for that genre and some of their best stuff has a uniquely Aussie vibe. So maybe even with the unique sound, some of that style got in the way of the raw talent factor.
Here is some of yesterday's news from WSJ on the trade disagreements. It's gated but the gist of it according to their crack team of source-sifters is that people close to the Chinese trade team think that after observing the events in Hanoi, Beijing feels like they might be in for an anticlimax of their own on a meeting between the two leaders. Therefore, Beijing is said to want that potential meeting to be a partial agreement rather than something that would finalize a deal. They do not want to be embarrassed. The US ambassador to China has told WSJ that that no date has been set for a meeting between the two leaders because neither side is in a rush to get a deal done.
