Hound reckons US holding the cards atm, US has larger consumer market and while its manufacturing is geared for export no where near the extent that the chinese economy is dependent on it.
He also suggested China has the advantage of not being a democracy so if a fight is to be had the chinese population will just toe the line whereas Trumpie does not have that luxury.
Also the hound just added that tarrifs are taxes on physical goods and the yanks have been moving away from those for over a decade. (not quite sure about this)
In summary he reckons China 'promotes' globalisation because over last 20 years it has been the major beneficiary, it's current message of the 'protector' of globalisation and 'fair' trade is transparent to the extreme to anyone with IQ > 1
Hound little bit anti chinese as you can see by his comments above, for good reasons or so he believes,
Feeling little bit uneasy with their push south, the little bloke in good condition atm with the girls feeding him up in reward and affection after various 'finest hours' on the homefront.
Little bloke has heard they won't hesitate in whipping a 'trading hound' into a pot for a good feed and frankly with his current condition would be a delicacy and prime target.
the above in no reflects the garages view, more the mutterings of a well feed TH feeling little bit vunerable.
Ps. Little bloke just read that post above about the chinese being 'hungrier' atm, freaked him out even further.
