Hi sci9249 . I once thought and still work at it that i could design a trading system you could trade for charity on .
Strange but is what motivates me for many things to keep at it for myself .
Yes you do have make money to survive and live its part of life we live and to be charitable you don't need money but it really helps a lot for all those that do when they have ideas to make a difference .
The market is perhaps always selfish in many ways as its full of individual minds buying and selling in different directions do to needs and wants and time frames .
Now time frame will be important if you want do overseas as you are going have know whether your programs live or delayed even to the market .
Zest has highlighted markets that suit that early in our waking hrs east coast time frames so if your west coast you get few hrs grace and even daylight savings impact time frames particularly with the bigger markets .
The one thing is time frames always technically for me as i learn .
When dazed used to post the stt tips each week to charts it was always standard set frame work of the worms on drugs the candles and the chart .
Powerful amount of work went into that each week shaping and learning and giving back all the time .Im not sure even free had an automatic system then to run the tip sheet .
They were old ways of doing things . I used to post screens and hand type them out each week . Thats the only way i knew how to do it from incredible chart program i use .
I think i learnt something along the way doing it and was the tickers and the feeling of the market and used to post different trinkets of insanity as i watched the sectors come through .
Overtime i learnt when the program up dated and the idiosyncrasies and time savers which are important as you just get overloaded with information i scrolled my scans to charts always at a set point and time frame i thought was best suited .
Alot was early hrs in the morning and late at night and some as close to live as i could get .
Nothing wrong with being lazy is sometimes my motto if the work is done or waiting to be done an idle mind can sometimes be the best benefit as it has time to wander and wonder the what ifs?
And develop it .And importantly its a time to rest the mind which is also important as the markets become addictive as there is just so much for an active mind to give up .
And that is so important when the mind gives up to the challenge .
I cry some times at the screen just because i need that realization its daunting !
The possibilities the dreams the passion to keep at it and see all those dreams smashed just in a frame of time .
The rest is well endless. Know one gives a sheet unless your in a team and that team possibly even buys and sells against itself in the auction .
Challenging to be like that but each has the oneself to consider and their own needs and responsibilities and becomes difficult the what ifs ?
We all want make a wish come true i guess .
It nurtures the stars and revels in humility the market !
Not unlike what the stt team does that's for sure imo.
But we are not the only place that pull together a team of people thats for sure in the world and in hotcopper even .
I kind of think we are middle ground angels at times while people find themselves .
Just me own thoughts thier.
But also is why the five grander is so important to the integrity of the stt team . Well me anyway and im sure min would agree its bloody tough place to be there exposed in the light of all things need a place .
I give up to early .
Im old im frail technology is to far advanced there are things i dont know how could that be the portfolio changes so quickly and ive read a book somewhere.
Its not like that imo !
The market to me is about humility . And pertinence to the time frame of mind of it .
You could save all your money and only ever enter a market once its crashed .
You would still need know the skillset to know when its exhausted i guess ? And the time to buy .
Still just a different strategy of the millions of them out there .
That work and don't work as the people behind them are still individuals averaging what does and doesn't work ?
You dont know how hard it was do the stt sweep for the melbourne cup before the barrier draw as we as the stt could be the only one that does ?
Try that on for horses and courses how good a team can be when the research together .
I could be in breech of the racing code of ethics even ?

Yes !
Why because once i had look and then post our sweeps ethics only as i was challenged by the stt how can you run a sweep and know one knows the rules of the sweep this year .
It has one winner takes all i have donate to charity of choice of the winner a one dollar bet .
Thats how it got off the ground to run a sweep ethically imo
I raised the call for nominations and last years winner to draw from a hat .
The stt challenged my coin flips all along the way as well im vege maths educated type person .
We do it differently the stt thread and what sets us in the middle ground of things .
Free nurtures us through humility and lets us run with the wind when we need to i reckon ?
But one never knows how much we pull together when needed .
Think i will back peejays horse in my private boxed trifecta to cover the cost of a one dollar bet i have spread over twenty three horses as im a mad gambler once ive had a win on the horses and liquored up .
I did get a hundred to one shot in once at third .
