Read an inspiring story today ~ the history of Google. Never realized it was that good a story ~ if you're not familiar with it.
In a nutshell, Brin shows newbie Paige around the Stanford campus, they become mates and start it around 96.
The best bit is they didn't want to run a company so they tried to flog it to Yahoo in 97 for $2million ... and were knocked back.
Ironically, Yahoo come back 5 years later with an offer of $3billion .... and were duly knocked back.
Morale of the tale: things can turn for the positive real, real quick and beyond your wildest imagination.
Just 5 years from 2million to 3billion ~ and in 2018 it owns Youtube et al and is worth around 400billion.
How great is life to have these amazing opportunities out there to try and find at the seed stage....
