Fair enough and to be fair, I'm still running an iphone5 haha...
Do you think the whole market could now possibly be saturated with just too many products?
Similar to mining when profits fall, they try to make it up in overcapacity.
I think Apple has been using this approach with the amount of products that didn't differ very much that they have been constantly pumping out..
It also appears that the majority of commodities are in bear markets now from oversupply and declining demand.
I wonder if everything has just been pumped way too hard creating this massive overcapacity problem from a low interest rate/credit environment, government stimulus & central bank QE policy..
Could it also be that we are now just starting to see all of this overcapacity/oversupply filter through the market in the way of,
- Big declines in stock prices,
- Big revenue downgrades,
- Falling commodities prices...
Just some thoughts but it seems to make sense and could help explain one part of why we have seen such significant drops in stock prices and revenue downgrades so quickly..?
LG Electronics also just announced (after Samsung today) that they see an 80% decline in profits for the 4th quarter..
I know they are similar sectors but the majority of households own at least 1 and sometimes a lot more of their products...
Surely it's not just a secular problem..?
