WA is Australia's best kept secret, or at least it used to be when I moved here in the 70s.

For lovers of water sports it is almost paradise, except for 2 things

.

1) The water is just a bit too cold to stay in for long periods without a wetsuit.

2) The ridiculous policy enacted around 20 years ago protecting Great White Sharks, has increased the risk of attack on humans to an unacceptable level, that takes away the feeling of freedom that you should be getting when you go surfing, snorkeling etc.
