Thoughts from the garage on matter,
Hound and I discussed on daily market debrief walk,
1st thing is to be quite sure on group you would like to attract to participate on forum;
We would like to increase No of posters contributing.
We would like to maintain or increase quality of posts.
We would like to promote community through shared financial advantage.
Gets back to profile of people who access share market regularly.
atm STT in my opinion biased towards very short term % gain (not good or bad thing just is), outcome we get high % of short term speculative tips concerning higher risk stocks. (resource juniors etc)
Question then being is this the type of information the majority of people would are active in the market want? (active in potential contributors to STT not passive involvement)
People active in market I find what to make as much money as possible at a manageable risk level with a small desire to satisfy the 'gambler' in them every now and then.
ie they will tolerate more risk for reward than the average intso, but not a whole heap more.
Would go so far to suggest one dominant demographic difficult to pigeon hole as would be a lot of younger high disposal income balanced by a shite load of partially or fully retired boomers with plenty of money and time.
Commonsense to promote a wider net by redefining the definition of a short term trade to say 25% over six months while not aleinating the gambler within.
how to do this ? well the walk not long enough and I suggest the participants probably not smart enough to work it out, just some thoughts
Yours sincerely
