Spot on @48&34,
Black Friday sales are also on this weekend.
Does anyone know when the sales figures are usually released??
I don't think markets would be very forgiving if the US sales numbers are lower than previous years.
I suspect this could be a catalyst for the next leg down in markets, as it would now make it obvious to everyone that the US economy is slowing.
If sales figures just beat or meet expectations, then probably just sideways action until after the G20.
Alibaba had beat previous years sales by 27% on the Chinese/Asia singles day (11/11/18) a couple of weeks ago.
Although that percentage has decreased from previous years, (2017 32%, 2016 39%).
Chinese consumer spending is down for the month of October and also from previous years, indicating a slowing economy.
