i have generally found that the shorter the time frame of the high lookback period the smaller the trade can be therefore making it a shorter term trade. im finding that 52 week trades are lasting about 2 weeks-3 months. for example if you go to a half year high, a smaller stop and take profit would be more appropriate and it would probably lower the average hold time.
