jeez thats terrible i hope it doesn't happen, 800mm is devastating.
yes i've been jealously watching the Queensland cams over the last few days but down in southern NSW we have quite a narrow swell window for south pacific cyclone swells and since it is staying up above New Caledonia we won't be getting any at this point. our models for down here are picking up some long period NE swell starting to come in today but a source that i read has said that it wont happen as there is a small archipelago about 500KM NW of New Caledonia called the chesterfield islands which is going to completely block it for us. i didn't even know it existed. Its a shame because there are some good setups down here for solid cyclone swells which haven't really had a chance to break properly for the last few years.
