If I do open the thread again at least I know any mistakes can be rescued Hi Lambrae I tend to agree with you that the duration should be no more than 3 months. The value and appeal though for any kind of tipping is it becomes a place to exchange trading ideas. In that regard there is probably also a place for trade ideas which might take longer to play out. [personally... my experience is, even when I am correct, I am usually far too early in my trading i.e. buy early and often get stuck because the timing is poor and the price either doesn't move or falls before responding to the FA]. The readership of the STT thread has steadily dropped over the last couple of years. The reasons I think are a combination of many regulars moving to Twitter [and abandoning HC] and the generally tough market that has developed has driven a few away. A lot of the P&D types have left the building which from a quality perspective is a very good thing... there remain some very good people participating on HC. A place where the thread is strictly stock specific with trade ideas will attract people I believe. I think the format for offering an idea should be similar to the how the comp ran... details like MC, cash position, debt and SOI. Then followed by a short explanation of the idea and the possible timelines involved. I think we should just get something up and running and then let it evolve. I do think running a parallel thread is a simple solution. Tips will then be in chronological order, will be time stamped by HC and everything will be easy to research. No one needs to be tasked with scoring it. It is the sharing of ideas which is the important part...imo.

Yes I think that a shorter time format is good as it maintains more intensity and interest. However to cater for short term traders and longer term investors, maybe we can have 2 categories, to suit traders and investors. Even if you only personally do one type, looking at other ideas and set ups, would be very informative. Sometimes STT become investors in the future, with longer horizons.
