Mid-Session Update
Not much going on here at the moment as we see a consolidation day. The SPX is down a -0.33% and the ES futures contract is above the pivotal 2570 and steady at 2588 after having made an overnight low of 2567.25. It is trading below Friday's point of control of 2591.25. Financials are the standout to the upside and Utilities are very weak in an otherwise flat tape. NYSE A-D lines: -129. NYSE breadth: +1.37:1 and NASD breadth: -1.51:1. VIX is at 18.91 and -3.96%.
@ammie and @Sector, not my place to comment but you all don't like the segmentation of the weekend lounge anymore? It waxes and wanes in participation rate but maybe that's a function of seasons and moods vis the market's recent performance. Maybe people leave their desks when the weather is good. I see what you're saying, but the thing about the weekend lounge is that it has a more relaxed feel to it where people go more off topic. Can it be blended into the week? I guess it could but there is psychological relief for me when I see it start lol. It's a virtual vacation away from home. Resets things. I will be sorry to see it go but the thread will still be great.
