In a volatile bear market stop losses can add to the pain through massive brokerage costs [made ASX happy though]. I prefer to trade to an overall plan & for each stock I hold.
ABS' SP has dropped so far it now has massive upside potential - assuming the RBA & govt don't further wreck the ecomnomy & Eddie restores sound mgt etc. Having smashed the SP the instos, hedge funds, shorters etc would love us to sell out at the same time they buy back & I don't need to do so anyway. Unless all the published data for ABS is a fraud/illusion there is still a lot of value in it that will be reflected in investor sentiment eventually.
When the signal presents I will almost certainly buy a lot more!
