I believe that an example of short selling could be described as borrowing SXL stock that you don't actually own at near the high prices today of $1.20 at the open after they announced their half yearly result, and then selling down the same stock all day down to near $1.12 as it is at the present time so that you could buy the stock at the bottom price of the day. Of course that might be a good idea particularly if was all done on the same day, if it was true. As I look at Commsec right now a total of 2,476 trades have been done so far today for a total of 4,640,874 shares sold with an average trade of 1,874 shares sold per trade. Really!!!!
