    hard to guage anything with last few days but macquarie are not going to make much unless they get another bid on the table.

    the commentary in AFR today suggested they are considering all options - splitting the assets to different suitors.

    i think something will come, its a great company and newcrest don;t want to walk away - both sides see the merit.
