Well Hoof I didnt think Id be saying I no longer had an interest in Aim but today it became fact.I simply cant afford the possibility of the options being worth near nothing as that other stock that we mentioned shows much better potential.

Hopefully I'll be able to come back to Aim via the ords in the not too distant future once that other stock has done its job.

But for now its time to say goodbye to Aim,more specifically the Aimo's.Good luck to those who are prepared to ride out this rather rough ocean behind the mother ship.

I feel a bit like Captn Jack Sparrow rowing away from the Black Pearl leaving behind all those loyal shipmates. It hasnt been an easy decision as Ive copped quite a loss but then I did take some profit from 06 to 08.Time to cut the umbilical and move on.

What is it that some say "you should never fall in love with a stock".Its a shame because I did with Aim.Its just such a pity one man made such an utter mess out of what could have been a much much better stock with greater instilled potential if he'd had the foresight to hedge at higher zinc prices.

I sincerely hope that BC and SL find a way to get Perkoa over the line and in particular find a way of getting the balance of the debt. They seem to be moving in the right direction and one has to give them an A for effort.

With Rio signing up a record price negotiation for their iron ore it seems to indicate that demand for steel raw materials is alive and well and that this will translate to better zinc demand come Aim's production in mid to late 09.Like I say hopefully this will have me back some time around then if not a bit before.Like many its time for me to start sorting some of the debt Im sitting on rather than living off the fat of the mining boom which is rapidly becoming very selective on who becomes the haves and the have nots.

Good luck to all those who remain faithful to Aim and I'll keep an eye on the various annmnts and I'll be particularly interested in how those Mumbwa results come up.There looks to be the potential for an amazing IOCG deposit of some kind at S36 and with any luck this will provide the impetus for some form of decent value to be put back into the sp.Its also a distinct possibility that in such formative stages that value may only be fleeting but if the results are consistent then it may well kick Aim back into life a lot sooner.

At current buying it may turn out to be the buy of the century but the risks currently outweigh the reward with the oppies.

Once again good luck all and hopefully my timing, for the sake of all others that continue to sail in Aim,is the worst for me.Knowing my luck it probably will be!
