Thanks for the kind words guys and its been illuminating, entertaining and just simply a great learning process over the last couple of years mulling this stuff over with you guys.
Unfortunately the writing was always on the wall regarding the Aim sp Hoof in the next few months. Its why I thought myself lucky I got out with my last sell on the oppies yesterday to head for the warm waters of the Red Sea.
Like You guys have been saying its time to think a year to a year and a half ahead.Forget what happens in the interrim and concentrate on the mine development and Mumbwa.
The big doubt/risk will be the balance of finance and it was always going to be the case once zinc fell below $2,000/t.We all knew that.
Theres a good chance they are going to have to go slow with the Perkoa development as theres really not point in rushing it along to get the concentrate out and have it just sit there with no completed plant/infrastructure to process it if they have to mark time waiting for the finance.
Yes they will start stockpiling and I believe the initial ore will be mostly low grade anyway so as DK was saying this has become a late 09 early 2010 story when the higher grade stuff will be emerging with a vengence.
If your going to stay in now theres no point in getting too worked up about BC and SL.Im sure they are working their hardest to make sure things come together in the best way possible.Id give them some slack for a little bit and only vent the spleen come the AGM if they arnt being transparent(I hate that word)about how things are going.
Imo they must stay with the new found attitude and try and keep up a regular report to holders just to keep them in the picture whether the news is good, bad or indifferent.
It will be interesting to see just how my opinion changes, if at all, when not holding a swag of Aim oppies.Ive always been a great believer in giving management a chance to show their mettle even if they are newbbies.Once again I hark back to my experience with Anvil and how Bill Turner brought all that together.Even though Bill was an experienced campaigner he still had a very unique situation to handle at Dikulushi and it takes more than just good management to pull off such a feat.It takes character, persistance, a lot of good luck and timing to succeed at such a venture. With these guys stepping into the breach to take on this Cowboy mess they certainly are showing off their testicular fortitude and with any luck its a sign of things to come.
So dont give up hope and keep pumping that bilge Hoof.Theres certain underlying aspects that we have occasionally covered that give Aim hope in getting this thing off the ground.
Im almost certain I'll be back in at some stage. At a guess atm it may be around mid 09 once there is more clarity in whats happening with finance, offtakes and which way the wind blows with the zinc supply/demand.
