i was just checking out the AXT technical report of 16/11/2006 & noticed that immediately north of AXT's Oak Dam South prospect, and just outside AXT boundary, is a " very large massive oxide body in the style of the Olympic Dam fossil hydrothermal system" called Oak Dam East - "a prodigious, uranium-bearing, massive oxide body".

this may possibly explain Xstrata's interest in drilling at Oak Dam South prospect with the first drillhole in their j/v, in preference to other highly prospective zones of interest.
all speculation of course but food for thought.
