However I don't see Shell mothballing Curtis Island. At present they are planning to build 16mt's p.a in 4mt trains. Shell got an agreement to buy the land from the Qld Gov't - see article from December 'Land sale paves the way' re Shell.
Just makes a lot of sense to me for Shell to help develop the first 1.5mt FL train, then own the offtake from the second ( and at any stage from here make AOE a Shell subsidiary anyway) and then run a pipe across under the water to curtis island and keep adding compressors at the other end.
Hope so..as it will put a rocket under AOE, BUL, BOW, the whole sorry assed csg sub sector.
Don't forget board reshuffles are often a harbinger.
