Gee you blokes look to be organised. I reckon my shed(s) would provide you with some amusement.
When I started, I had to clear the forest first, then harvest some logs to drag up to the mill about a km up the road with my 1948 single cylinder dozer to be milled into the timber to build. The first one was 20m x 8m. The first three bays had concrete floor and the 8 x 8 left at the end was an open sided barn. It is however all colourbond clad with laserlite panels on the high half of the southern side and the lower half of the northern side to give maximum natural as possible.
The 4 x 8 section on the bay closest to the barn has a sliding door on both sides, (four metre bays) so I could push something in from the slightly high side, to work on it, then drive it out the front. (north side)
The 8m x 8m section at the other end is all workshop and shelving for supplies etc and is fitted with all things necessary to be able to do all maintenance on site. including lathe, hydraulic press, welders bench grinder etc.
The barn end ended up being turned into the dwelling. Some say we have the proportions right, ie small house large shed. However, the house was then two fifths of the shed, so....... another 20m x 10m shed with 5 x 4m metre bays is almost finished 20 metres across the yard from the first. It is set up with a bay and a door then a bay then a door then the last bay. The two door openings are near enough to 4m x 4m to enable me to drive a dozer and or excavator in for maintenance as required. It is however full already and we have been using it and harvesting water from it for some time. It too is all new colourbond.
The power to do all this was, and still is made on site.
