Got a 12.3m x 7m x 3.6m (2.7m eves) with 3.3m door widths / 2.5m door height tolerance. Probably is too big of a shed for a normal suburban 700sqm block, but it is what I wanted and I got it... much to the frustration of the misses as she claims it has taken up to much area for her possible "gardens".
I organised everything myself from the purchase of the shed kit, council plans/permits, engineering reports, concretors etc.. and truth be told the amount of stuffing around that happens is ridiculous. Council was the only one who was on time with everything, everyone else was either 2-4 weeks later than anticipated.
Concrete slab, should of been around 9-10cubic metres, but due to clay soils and building over a sewer pipe to went out to 30cu metres. Bit more of a budget blowout than expected, but it had to happen or else it wouldn't happen.
Ended up erecting the shed myself with help from Dad, the thought of paying $4,200 kind of made me go errr WHAT!!! Was a fairly easy even though the manual instructions were crap. Ended up just watching youtube videos to get an idea about it all. Had to buy a few tools for the job (not 4,200 worth though), but least now they are added to the tools I now own.
Inside use to look like a junk yard as everything was just thrown in with the thought of sorting everything out and placing it on steel racks later on. Well that was 11 months ago, slowly but surely it still looks like a junk (and vehicles still haven't moved in) but things are sorted in category spots. Least now if I want something I know exactly were it is, rather than searching for 30-60minutes between the shed and house.
By the time we eventually put in a driveway, I would say we will have a few loose coins from $35,000.
