Are algorithms really about moving the market or are they about following the market.
My experience is that you can lead them like a dog.
Buy and they will trend upwards.
Sell and they will trend downwards.
If someone is trying to exit a big position they wouldn't be using bots. The bots would be able to read what is happening and would make it harder for them by driving the price lower.
When the big boys are exiting its normally driven by market cap and covenants not fundamentals.
If the bots help drive the price down they are helping the fundamentalists make a killing.
