One or two mines attempted to use pumped grout packs in replacement of rockpillars, however the logistics and cost didnt really stack up in the end. Same for Rothsay - 7g/t orebody is not fantastic, so i struggle to see how CRF pillars as opposed to insitu rock pillars wins out in terms of overall cost, speed and mining efficiency. Also, a CAF (cemented aggregate fill) pillar would provide a more uniform fill mass (in terms of particle sizes) which would probably work better in narrow 1.4m wide stopes. Just my observations, happy to be corrected or discuss further.
