share purchase plan

Well the closing date for share purchase plan was the 11th and due to lack of notices appears it did not close early due to demand. The share price is just about where you would expect it today around 80c and no information update on the fund raising. GWR does not frequently put out updates so i would not be suprised to see some company update to please and appease those that injected extra funds. Its amazing that the advantages outlined in subscribing were;
-small shareholders can top up (you could do that now)
-no brokerage (say $20 as against a $15000 risk-due to a lack of indepth info)
-same price as sophisticated investors (sop. investors can bail out before you obtain shares)
-no minimum requirement (you could own 1 share).
A very strange structure...apart from this the risk of trying to sell out at present with low volumes..today if 3 people with $15000 worth of shares wanted out only 2 would have got out the door...as only 50,134 shares traded for a value of $40,356. No doubt there will have to be some news on the horizon (possibly could have been given before the raising closed, that will highlight some company strategy and help others decide) but how could you jump in and subscribe on the scant information and advantages provided. Once again to highlight volume problems in this stock look at the volume on these 3 days in feb.
