Diesteach:  "August is slow up north."

Diesteach/others:  Only do agree in respect to parts of Europe (mainly France and Italy and perhaps some other Southern European countries to a lesser degree).  However, in regard to Asia and America,  I do NOT believe that anywhere close to a whole month will be 'closed' like Australia seems to be doing for January....  Well, Australia is not called the "Lucky Country" for nothing !
