I won't defend his salary because I think it has been ridiculous for years. BUT the money they have burnt through can be explained. They are not bringing a milk product to market, it is a highly sophisticated piece of technology that has never been commercialised in any form. Probably better to compare it to other disruptive technologys. Look how much and how long it took to get solar panels to be profitable. Look at the money musk is burning through trying to get Tesla 3 built (and that is a fairly familiar technology). IF they succeed the rewards could be huge and make the money spent will seem minuscule. If they fail well what a waste, I mean how many whiskey bottles could we have bought for 200 million....
