re accounts of that cattle co -would have loved someone like u to trawl through it but probably not worth your while for that stock - they have the legal fudges for ag type and forestry type ( IAS 41) , but also i believed they were, and probably still are selling the stock from stations a bit cheaper to the other divisions like the feedlot and even possibly the meatworks - this helps the so called value added push look a bit better- they had a couple of other fudges i believed at the time too -would love an analyst from a big broker to go through what they did a couple years ago -they may have improved a bit since, hence the disappointing numbers as it gets smoothed back!!
However, on hindsight they probably were correct at that time to tough it out and not revalue properties down to anywhere near market value at that time.
