Despite the tears and gnashing of teeth by the PRT board it seems as though they are preparing for a world post media reform. If the 2 out of three and reach rules change , then it opens up many opportunities for broader media companies . Outside the obvious cost synergies, there is of course the power of offering media buys advertising breadth over cross channel distribution for greater impact and coverage . Of course there is also content scale benefits for the media company themselves . Such a marriage would be very EPS accredititive for Southern cross even with a 50% premium to PRT current price
