For those that don't have a subscription, they are basically saying that there is chatter going around that PRT are in discussions with its competitor Southern Cross Media about some sort of deal. The deal though can only go ahead though if the Media Reform Bill gets passed.

They were also apparently in discussions with Mediaworks a broadcaster in New Zealand but it looks as though nothing will happen due to New Zealands advertising market decline. Ian Audsley was previously the executive director of Mediaworks.

Is anybody a shareholder in Southern Cross Media or know much about the company? I only know the basics but will hopefully get time in the next couple of days to have a closer look. On the face of it, they might complement each other somewhat and give each other more diversity across different media platforms.
