It's worth reflecting that iot platform "competitors" Thingworx was aquired for $120M USD in 2013 and 2lemetry aquired by Amazon for an estimated $90-120M USD this year.
Buddy is at today valued at around $130-140 AUD or $93-100M USD
Note that:
Both Thingworx and 2lemetry only provided the iot software platform aspect of Buddy's operations.
2Lemetry was/is only compatible with salesforce.com
Buddy provides what these companies provide and more in terms of an iot platform! The remarkable thing is that Buddy is an end to end service in this feild - data out AND IN (where the $$$ is imo)
Looking forward to the prospective because the presentation has overloaded my brain.
For instance a "tier-1 US Insurance Company" would use buddy's infrastructure to track where and how it's customers are driving. In fact they have already started doing this. Invasion of privacy perhaps but a customer is going to agree to such tracking if it means lower premiums.
