    Interesting comments Joe,

You said, "The old Hills was a mess and very badly run in my opinion.
How would you know that Joe? Do you have anything to support that opinion?

"In my research I found a printing company that hardly ever did any work."
Wasnt the printing company so small and insignificant that it really didnt impact on the $1.2billion turnover company?

"Poor management teams and badly run."
What poor management teams are you referring to? Care to be more specific, like which teams and it what areas was it badly run (in your opinion of course)?

"I think the closures and the sell offs were needed."
Well if the business units arent profitable and you dont have the insight to be able to grow those markets, is the best option to offload them??
What about Orcon steel which was impacted with the high $Aus. Trading as high as $1.10
With the $Aus now trading at 80c was this the best option to sell it?

"I dont see that many Hills hoists anymore - its iconic but some icons are no longer needed"
Joe , Hills did still sell clothes lines, you still see them in Bunnings, however even Hills transformed their clothes line business to different styles.
Companies may still exist if they evolve their products, so the hoist transformed to a different style of clothes line.

On a lighter note, given that you say old management ran things badly, i did hear that 8 Hills branches around the country lost power yesterday......
Looks like the new mngment have taken paying bills to another level!!!

    What a company hey??

    Cheers
