Great insight guys. I like the idea of a slow burn set and forget investment which is why I go down the Thornhill LIC approach and focus on dividend income from the LICs. I still have 35 years left in the workforce but Id like to build up a portfolio of LICs that get me to a point where I can live off the dividend income. Hopefully that's a good goal to have! The Individual stock picking thing isnt for me .... Id rather opt for a more conservative approach over the long term. Any words of wisdom on that? Keen to learn! I too have made the error of buying Argo at a premium to NTA! But I'm trying to be a bit more savvy about it now. Its trading at a good discount to NTA at the moment so perhaps now is a good time to buy more.
