In my opinion it doesn't matter. There are going to be less shares on the market and therefore higher eps.
At the moment they should be getting huge income with coking coal at record contract prices and AUD at .64.
The question is what price they will receive for the coal next year but I don't think that is a question that can be too easily answered at the moment.
If management can see that buying back shares is a good idea they may actually extend this to buying shares for themselves. We will see.
