Well, in this instance the difference between underlying and statutory is pretty small (luckily). And in truth I did not notice the "mix-up" in the Press Release. Which is exactly my point - companies should be very clear in what they are comparing. The way it is currently presented is that this years underlying PBT will be 2-5% less than last years Statutory PBT. If they want to compare underlying to underlying they should use last years underlying figure of $363.7m.
Hey - I've got an even better idea, why don't they just give us a statutory and underlying PBT forecast in $m?
