A terrible thing if it did happen. As is the death of children in our own nations from mistreatment etc, which we seem to ignore while focusing on ‘poor’ people like this.
All the healthy & well fed looking people standing around starving/distressed children on the charity ads have turned me off donating to any of them ever again.
The children look to ultimately be more valued for their use as props. It’s truly horrible but it makes no sense to ignore suffering here in our own nation to send help to people who don’t really seem to care for their own themselves.
The day there is not one homeless/hungry/neglected kid here in Australia is the day I’ll consider donating to a foreign charity.
The mother should be getting called out for neglecting her child for the sake of her own desires.
The kid needs food & care. The lady wants to be in a primitive hell hole. She put her wants before the child’s needs.
There are 2 kinds of mother in this world.
1. Mothers by definition alone ( have borne offspring ).
2. Mothers by action often requiring them to sacrifice their own wants ( actually providing care for a child ).
I vote for mum no. 2
The number 1. type mothers will one day be replaced by test tubes. ( would have been a joke a generation ago but may actually not be such for much longer ).
They are about as caring as the Borg of Star Trek, producing children as tools to advance the mother’s desires.
It’s a hard thing but to cave in to pity & send money to those kind of people actually create more victims- the only real solution is to harden up a bit & let others who might daydream about heading off to their very own version of paradise ( hell for anyone else including their own children ), see that they won’t get a free ride if they choose that path.
It’s like a weed in the garden. We might not cut that weed out but we certainly don’t water it!
