Living in SE Asia, my main news feeds are from around here, and I just watched NKK Newsline from Japan, where a story featured about start-ups in New Delhi dealing with air pollution.

7 million people die from it annually, and like in China and other crowded places, people are reacting where they can.

One start-up has made an air pollution reading map using the phones camera, while another has invented motor cycle helmets with filtration far greater than space suits. Would love one of those as I spend an hour on a bike every day in heavy traffic.

The point is, even though air pollution is not a new phenomena, it certainly is gaining traction in combating it at an ever increasing grass-roots level. It is one of the Chinese governments greatest fears, as they know that the masses won't tolerate for too much longer worsening conditions. China is making greater strides in combating air pollution than all countries combined. Creating the world's largest electric vehicle numbers are just one example.

The time has arrived for our products and timing apparently, is the most important element of a start-up's success.
