I feel that the 17.5 MW would be needed for the first stage of the project although it does not specifically state that in the article , the second stage is 8.5 times as large so would require a corresponding increase in power usage .
In the States they work power usage as a rule of thumb being around 1 kW needed constantly per tonne of prawns produced per annum , I would think the higher the intensity of the operation (more tonnes per hectare ) and the higher the temp then airation would have to be higher per tonne
It seems the only hold up is financing or maybe before that they need offtake agreements ?
