SEVEN Group Holdings has been confirmed as a top 10 shareholder in Drillsearch Energy, weeks after it swooped on Cooper Basin rival Beach Energy.
Drillsearch confirmed in its results today that Network Investment Holdings, a fully-owned subsidiary of Seven Group, is its seventh-largest shareholder with a 3.79 per cent stake.
Earlier this month the Kerry Stokes-controlled Seven Group (SVW)revealed it had its foot on 13.8 per cent of Beach Energy. As well as Drillsearch (DLS), Seven is believed to have taken a stake in and Beach’s fellow Cooper Basin player Senex, which could indicate a belief there will be consolidation activity in the region that Seven can play a part in.
