As posted on hc earlier this year, there are further and recent (last week) Indonesian press reports (see below), which indicate that some of EWC’s Sengkang lng will find its way to Bali…..

HEADLINE NEWS - JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero), a new push in support of the conversion program of fuel oil (BBM) to gas. Through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), the company will build mini LNG storage facility in Bali. President Director of PT Pertagas Hendra Jaya said the facility will be the first in Indonesia to meet the fuel needs of power plants owned by PT PLN in Bali. Development investments and its mini LNG storage units regasifikasinya estimated between $ 50-60 million with a capacity of about 0.3 MTPA or docked 50 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd). Supply of gas will be supplied from the Bontang LNG located in Kalimantan and Sengkang LNG interchangeably. The facility is expected to meet the fuel needs of power generation capacity of 200 MW. Pertagas will supply the needs of PLN subsidiary, PT Indonesia Power in Bali, 3.36 MTPA for 16 years for the period 2019 to 2035 will diregasifikasi LNG Storage Regasification Unit Land (LSRU) in Benoa Harbour, Bali. The gas will then be channeled to the plant through a pipeline along the 3 kilometers. Hendra said that, in addition to the demand for electricity, Pertagas also will see the market potential in other industries that still use fuel oil to be transferred to the gas. The hope Green Island Bali can be the use of cleaner fuels and pollution-free. "We will also try to develop marketing to hotels and resorts industry that still uses fuel oil to switch to gas. We will make Bali as Green Island, "said Hendra. Pertagas targeting this project can operate in late 2015 or early 2016 and is currently in the stage of land acquisition. The company will buy a storage vessel that is ready to be used with consideration of the Indonesian flag. As for the port, the company in cooperation with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero). The success of the mini LNG storage in Bali will be the brand marks the company's further development, especially in eastern Indonesia both for generation and mining industries. Pertagas also continue to make inroads in fuel to gas conversion in the mining industry.
