As to the recent sp 'capitulation', this has been across the board. You only have to look at the similar performance of its peers. e.g COE, STO, BPT, etc. etc. This has been due to a number of factors in the international oil market which got a little overblown with respect to the Iranian situation and a high price. . Oil demand is still increasing but it has had its growth clipped. .....plus add in a very bad October for worldwide equities and you will understand that sentiment has driven oil stocks down,.... not fundamentals.

As for shale it is a financial ponzi which will never break even. The Industry is in the red by billions. And the sweet spots have gone.

Australia has a looming gas crisis in front of it . And its Gladstone export plants are in trouble producing enough gas . Forecast future production is down 20% as CSG fields are just not performing as per expectations.
