I'll try again - posting. I read in Be Bendigo, the following report on Fosterville ... ( see below)
When Perserverence had the Fosterville mine they were producing 25k to 35k oz of Gold pa and it was "oxide gold".
In 2001 the focus changed to sulphide gold & commercial sulphide gold production started in 2005. Up to 2011 they produced 500,000 oz of Sulphide Gold in 6 years. Now KLA is producing 250k+ oz pa & expecting to go to 400k oz pa. Big difference between 25-35,000 oz pa (Perserverence) of Oxide Gold to 400k oz pa (KLA) of Sulphide Gold production (expected).
Was KLA just lucky or did they target the sulphide gold. Seems to be a bit of a new phenomia this sulphide gold - not that I know much about it.
But it seems that Perserverence sure missed out & looks like a new era when new Gold Miners cash in, if I am understanding it right.
