pencilin - bots can be set to buy/sell for long positions and short, so just because they've been selling doesn't mean buying will resume once they've stopped necessarily.

Also it's almost impossible to know the motivations of why or who is selling. Is it a fund manager reducing a position, general market sentiment, a hedge fund shorting etc?
