Don't forget that SMM is now very illiquid. There are only 8% of the total shares out there for trading, given that Paladin own about 82 percent, and Areva own 10%.

So the market depth really means very little. In fact, I really have no idea why ANYONE would buy SMM shares any more. I sold most of mine at 6.34, then swapped the rest for some more PDN shares.

SMM holders who are waiting for a better takeover offer from Paladin are dreaming. Paladin will likely do a deal with Areva for their 10%, which will then put them in a position to do a compulsory acquisition of all remaining SMM shares for the current market price or whatever they want to offer.

After all, the only reason Areva bought their share of SMM in the first place was to guarantee a percentage of the output of the uranium. Paladin can offer them the same thing - perhaps in return for the Areva-held SMM shares......

    Conspiracy theory? Moi? Never!
