I attended the ASX Iron Ore day presentation in Sydeny yesterday. Presentations by Ironclad Mining, Yilgarn Mining, Australasian resources, Sundance Resources, Fortescue Mining and others.
Lots of discussion about hematite vs magnetite and accetable impurity levels. GIR has hematite around 62.5% fe which are quite high grades...better than most of the presenters. Access to infrastructure (railways and ports) is also a major part of the cost of producing...GIR's tenaments are next to Midwest's which provides scope to negotiate transport to port.
Also the ex distribution date for the in-specie distribution of Carpentaria shares to GIR shareholders should occur sometime in November.
I bought a few more GIR today at 89c
