Excerpt from article in Ararat Newspaper (aug 2018) re the Arete exploration drilling on the Eastern flank of the Stawell Granite.
"Three drill rigs have been working on the new discovery, 24 hours a day. During the exploration period, three or four major new fields have been found.“We can’t see the end of the gold. The company are planning to do more exploration and we hope that continues for a very long time,” Mr Olsen said. Mr Olsen said the next 12 to 18 months would be an exciting time for the mine as it increased its workforce from 65 employees to between 150 and 200 people".
Note in the figure below that ELA6418 includes a section of the Eastern flank of the Stawell granite. The NML media doesn't mention activity in this portion yet it is continuous with the area where I understand Arete have found a series of substantial and highly commercial gold bearing ore deposits identical to the nodes that have underpinned the SGM production for many years. The figure below is on approx 10km per cm scale and even the ELA6418 section shown OVER THE granite its representative only, in reality the granite undercuts heavily on the North side, I don't know about the East flank. Time for management to provide a clearer view of this part of the Stawell granite and explore whether we contract mine this part via Arete, given they are already mining immediately next to this part, they have a substantial processing plant next door, it would instantly transform NML into a cash generating entity. All just in my opinion, DYOR and GLTH.
