g'day again fellow agriculturalists. after a long grind, interacting with the medical system more than the farm, and having to drop off a few indulgences,i have a few moments to make a vic. report.

the season was tipped to have potential early,by popular vic.agro adviser p.ridge. his favoured models now seem to be better than a coin toss, which is a big advance.

absolute zero sub soil moisture buffer,so it is rain fed all the way,or bust. for a sub 5 decile year,it is well on track at the moment.

dry sowing has revealed the wide failure of trifluralin this year.resistant superweeds the near term challenge.

lot of advisors pushing the 'kick the can along' model,of grow all the grain you can, before the superweeds take over, short term leasing to breed weeds on someone elses place a niche strategy. big popular advisor pushing his clients to get so big that they can afford the expense of superweeds.doubt that will work.

the grain value adding sector being crushed in victoria.we export raw grain now,to have value added somewhere else.feedlots, intensive pig/poultry all on knees.grain milling has noose around neck.

will try to post more often,my health picking up,but have had to dispose of the speccy portfolio to pay out succession issues.lucky to have had that buffer, succession brings a lot of operations undone.
