How are things fairing on the Eastcoast Sorgs, JC, HotRods others?
WA has turned dry and forecast looks pretty uninspiring (see below). Should see basis strengthening. It had collapsed from around $30 down to $11 as the strong start was recorded. Lots of soil moisture but the crops are not mature enough to be properly plumbed into it yet. Growth has stalled particularly in later crops. Early crops look fantastic but now wilting in the heat of the day. Lots of canola in the ground and wheat. WA is heading for a permanent cereal/canola rotation IMO.
Still early days but the bin buster they had chalked us in for will need to see a big rain event coming through in June to make this a possibility.
Still some very crook areas out East.
Sorgs/JC out of interest do you still have your Graincorp shares?
