what happened to the 'lower end commercial' zone observed in the Seabee formation? This was undergoing further petrochemical analysis last we heard. May be clasping at straws here but what with oil in the expected water above the seal (1st news) and talk of a compromised seal, (clay in the sandstone) in the killer announcement, had the oil migrated elsewhere on the block. Seems like we have drilled where the seal and reservoir rock are intertwined thus locking in the oil which showed up so well on the 3D seismic. Perhaps a sidetrack to the West to see is the reservoir is better would be an option as testing will not be needed on this hole. The million dollar question is whether the poor reservoir quality is due to a localised issue or whether the geological model applicable in the Nanushuk Sands does not apply this Far East. Any ideas Guys
